Rent space in Lervi's ceramics workshop
Share
When you want to start creating with ceramics, several questions come up. Will I get stuck and keep doing this? Do I have a suitable space for ceramics? Do I dare to take the plunge and make the big investments of buying a pottery wheel and a young one?
This is exactly what I was thinking about when I wanted to start my pottery journey, I asked different potters if I could rent a place in their workshops to start with before I knew the answers to the above questions. But I didn't get any answers..
Now I have my own large ceramics workshop and it feels important to be able to give others the opportunity to rent in and start their ceramics journey with my help.
So now there is an opportunity to rent a place in Lervis's pottery workshop in Äskelid 10 km south of Hjo. The basic requirement is that you have taken one of Lervis's courses (weekend/evening course or longer) or have previous experience of the entire process of ceramics. This is to know how things are managed in the workshop, where things are located and that you have the knowledge required to work completely independently.
The pottery workshop has 8 turning wheels, kneading tables, miters, rolling pins and all the tools you could possibly need.
You buy clay on site and are responsible for any recycling. You can bring a bucket/box with a tight-fitting lid if you want to store clay/recycled clay in the pottery workshop. I will fire your creations and you will glaze with the workshop's glazes.
You pay for firing & glaze per kilo of finished fired pottery, your time is paid per hour and it is all the hours you are in the workshop that count. You write down the day's date, time and number of hours in the block in the pottery workshop and this is paid at regular intervals by invoice or payment on site with Swish.
Let me know if you're interested and I'll tell you more!
