The story of Lervis

I, Ellen Lannemyr, have always been creative since childhood. It has taken different forms over the years. When I was little I collected plants and picked flowers. I have tried many different crafts, from cernite clay, hobo crafts, sewing my own clothes and beading. I have had my own jewelry brand where I made earrings and rings from recycled bicycle tubes that were sold at Design Torget.

In 2007 I took an evening course in ceramics. Clay really caught my interest, what a material! You can create with it in so many different ways and there are no limits to different forms, functions and expressions. Already in 2007 I felt that this was something I wanted to do more with and I carried that dream with me in my heart.

"What I'm passionate about is creativity, meeting other people, and being able to be involved and inspire."

Since my interest in nature, gardening and vegetation is also great, I trained as a florist and worked as such for a few years. After that, I have trained and worked in sales and marketing, entrepreneurship and helping others start businesses. What I am passionate about is creativity, meeting other people and being able to be involved and inspire.

A few years ago, we moved to a small croft in the countryside in Hjo municipality where we built a large garage. One room was mine and there, in 2016, my own pottery journey began. I bought two wheelbarrows on the block and got started. I developed my skills at the wheelbarrow and created objects without a wheelbarrow. Just for my own use at first. But pretty quickly I shared my craft with others by selling pottery at local markets and inviting people to my workshop. Since then, one thing has been added to another and slowly but surely ceramics has taken a bigger and bigger part of my life.

"Lervis' pottery workshop is a gathering place where you can meet new people, learn to shape clay and collaborate with the wheel, a place for inspiration and creativity."

I started Lervis AB together with my husband Petrus in 2021. Lervis consists of two different companies, Petrus Bygg and Lervis ceramics, and we run them together at home where we live. We have created a wonderful place on earth with ceramics in a calming and blooming environment. Lervis today has a large workshop with several pottery wheels and space for many creative course participants. It is a gathering place where you can meet new people, learn to shape the clay and collaborate with the pottery wheel, a place for inspiration and creativity. You can stroll around with a freshly brewed cup of coffee and look at handmade ceramics in the Lervis showroom. Courses and creative events are now organized here. I think it is important to share with me and help others if they want to continue with ceramics, which is why there is the opportunity to rent out the workshop on weekdays or rent a pottery wheel.

"Finally finish the ceramics experience in the wood-fired sauna with a cooling dip in the pond, it's highly recommended!"
