Welcome to a one-day course in ceramic printing techniques with Decopotterycolour.
On September 27th we welcome Rosanna I Welding from Decopotterycolour to Lervis pottery workshop. Rosanna will inspire and teach us about different ceramic printing techniques and we will all get to try out the different techniques.
The course is suitable for those who are working with ceramics and want to learn more about printing techniques. The teaching takes the form of joint instruction in the different elements as well as individual practical supervision.

COURSE PROGRAM - Screenprinting with IkonArt and Potters Tissue.
In the course we will go through the process of making a stencil for printing on ceramic goods. You will sketch one or more decorations which will then be illuminated/transferred onto a canvas/frame for direct screen printing and Potters Tissue. Potters Tissue is a simple method that needs no explanation.
In the course we work manually and draw on film. If you want to work digitally with, for example, photos and rasters, that is entirely possible. However, the course does not include any digital teaching, so you must be able to handle the digital image processing on your own.
Before the course, you should have prepared a number of leather-hard and curved materials, both flat and round, to use when trying out the different screen printing techniques.
Bring your own frames 40 mesh. If you don't have the opportunity to bring your own, there are some loaner frames that we can share. Also canvases with ready-made motifs.
CASE
After the course you will:
• be able to create originals for serial decoration on ceramic goods for crafts and production.
• have knowledge of how to illuminate, clean the frame and accessories.

LOCATION & PRICE
Lervis ceramics workshop is located 10 km south of Hjo in the small village of Äskelid. The course fee is paid here in the webshop, in the fee yesterday the material you will test and use during the course.

CANCELLATION & REFUND
When you pay for the course, you will automatically be registered and booked in your name for the course you purchase. The fee is not refundable if you cancel later than 1 week before the start of the course. As a participant, however, you can transfer your place to someone else if you wish. In that case, you need to notify the name of the person who will take over your course place to info@lervis.se
Should the course be cancelled by Lervis, the full amount will be refunded.

DOWNLOADING COURSE MATERIALS
It usually takes around 2 months before your pieces are fired and glazed. Those who have booked the course will then receive an email stating that it is OK to come and pick up the ceramics. Check the opening hours and pick up your pieces when it suits you. If you would rather have your ceramics posted for a shipping cost, please contact info@lervis.se.
When the ceramics are picked up, the material cost of 100 SEK/kg of fully fired ceramics is also paid.
