WEEKEND COURSE IN FREE SCULPTURE
This weekend we welcome artist Anna Gärberg to Lervis Ceramics Workshop. Anna will be giving a course in free sculpture where she will share her long experience with inspiration, knowledge and technique. Anna is a versatile and curious artist, perhaps best known for her ceramic sculptures of horses, hares and other animals.
COURSE SCHEDULE
The teaching takes the form of a joint review of the basic elements, such as how to build hollow from scratch and other techniques. Each participant then works based on their own ideas and receives individual supervision based on their personal level of knowledge and technical challenges.
Feel free to prepare yourself by getting inspired by what you would like to create during the course. Wear clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting muddy on, you can borrow an apron. You have good opportunities to develop if you take several courses. The course is suitable for both complete beginners and those with previous experience.
You bring your own lunch for both days (there is access to a kitchen), we offer afternoon coffee.
SATURDAY 10-16
Introduction and review of basic techniques.
There is the possibility to continue working in the workshop until 8 pm (no supervision after 4 pm)
SUNDAY 10-15
We continue to sculpt.
BURNING
We will burn your creations and a few weeks after the course they can be picked up.
LOCATION & PRICE
Lervis pottery workshop is located 10 km south of Hjo in the small village of Äskelid. The course fee is paid here in the webshop. 5kg of clay is included in the course fee, more clay can be purchased for 21 SEK/kg. The products are kiln-fired for those who wish after the course.

CANCELLATION & REFUND
When you pay for the course, you will automatically be registered and booked in your name for the course you purchase. The fee is not refundable if you cancel later than 1 week before the start of the course. As a participant, however, you can transfer your place to someone else if you wish. In that case, you need to notify the name of the person who will take over your course place to info@lervis.se
Should the course be cancelled by Lervis, the full amount will be refunded.

DOWNLOADING COURSE MATERIALS
It usually takes around 2 months before your pieces are fired and glazed. Those who have booked the course will then receive an email stating that it is OK to come and pick up the ceramics. Check the opening hours and pick up your pieces when it suits you. If you would rather have your ceramics posted for a shipping cost, please contact info@lervis.se.
When the ceramics are picked up, the material cost of 100 SEK/kg of fully fired ceramics is also paid.
