Clay 931 is a light lava clay with large brown lava dots. It contains 25% fine chamotte (0–0.2 mm), which gives the clay extra stability and reduces the risk of cracking during drying and firing. This is the lava clay with the largest dots, larger than on lava clays 930 and 933. The clay has good plasticity and is well suited for both turning and building techniques such as ringling and rolling. The lava dots appear when stoneware is fired.
- Paint: Gives a cream-colored surface with brown lava dots after firing.
- Firing temperature: 1000-1280°C for optimal results.
- Chamotte: 25% chamotte (0-0.2 mm)
- Areas of use: Perfect for turning and sculpting, rolling, curling and smaller sculptures, suitable for both professional and hobby ceramists.

Storage
Clay should be protected from direct sunlight and preferably stored cool. Recommended storage temperature is 5-18 degrees. Clay is a frost-sensitive product. Keep this in mind when ordering during the winter, Lervis is not responsible for handling the clay during shipping from Lervis to the customer.
Sustainability
Always keep the packaging tightly closed to prevent the clay from drying out. If it has dried out, add a little water and close it for a few days, and it will have softened again and can be kneaded and used. Don't forget the value of recycling all your clay waste. Clay is a fantastic natural material that can be reused many times before it is burned.
